INSTALLATION INFORMATION
------------------------

Prior to installing GPFS, you should retrieve the installation documentation
from the GPFS Linux web page at:

http://www.ibm.com/servers/eserver/clusters/software/gpfs.html

follow the "Documentation" link.

The GPFS publications consist of the following set of books:

Concepts, Planning and Installation Guide
Administration and Programming Reference
Problem Determination Guide
Data Management API Guide

Please refer to the installation guide for details on the install process.
If you have previously installed GPFS, please read carefully the migration
documentation in the Concepts, Planning and Installation Guide.  This should
guide you through the migration.

The installation guide "Creating the GPFS directory" section references the
self-extracting product images, gpfs_install-3.2*, contained on this CD-ROM.
The self-extractors and their intended hardware platforms are:

gpfs_install-3.2.0-0_i386    -- IA-32 based systems
gpfs_install-3.2.0-0_x86_64  -- Opteron based systems (e.g. eServer e325)

Note: you must install the latest corrective service package for GPFS v3.2
available at the IBM Support web site prior to running GPFS:
